Tom + Angela
I met Tom + Angela through some mutual friends, and I was thrilled when Angela won my Instagram giveaway last fall! We had the most fun planning this East Beach photo session, and it was so fun to use my new beach cruiser! I love when the vision in my head comes to life! The dreamy light, the cheerful pattern on her dress, the beach grasses, and their sweet connection give me all the heart eyes! 
Their love + inner joy radiates in these images. What you can’t tell is that this couple had just received some really hard news. Instead of postponing, Angela wanted to go ahead with our session as a way to cope + bring joy. Honestly, that is the driving force behind what I do. I started this business in the middle of the darkest time of my life, because I needed to find the light. It’s the foundation for the type of images I strive to create- joyful, light, bright, connected.
It’s not just about pretty photos. It’s a glimpse of blessings even in heartache + disappointment. It’s a reminder that there can be beauty + joy in the midst of pain.

Marissa + Sean
When Marissa reached out over Instagram about her upcoming elopement, I was SO thrilled! While I love photographing kids + families, working with couples is a whole different kind of fun! Marissa + Sean are both in the Navy. Living on opposite coasts plus the pandemic made getting married challenging. Thankfully, it worked out for Marissa to make a quick trip over Christmas for their Virginia Beach elopement!
We met at Pleasure House Point one sunny but very cold afternoon the day after their court house wedding. They were so adorable, and you could just tell how happy they were to be married!
This series is one of my favorites. There was an inside joke happening + both of them couldn’t keep it together! Those are my favorite, most authentic moments.
